Elementary Library

The Elementary library serves students in kindergarten through grade 4. Teachers may allow students to come in to choose a book or work on a report at their convenience. In addition, classes are scheduled in the library whenever library resources are need for a particular topic or unit. Use of the library, including research skills, is taught in conjunction with these various subjects. This is called flexible scheduling and meets one of the standards for Public School Approval. The collection which is always growing, thanks in part to the Janice Byington book fund, contains an assortment of elementary level reference, nonfiction, fiction, and picture books. The librarian for Craftsbury Schools works with each grade kindergarten through fourth grade, once a week to promote a love of books and an understanding of how a library works.

• Monday - Friday: 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM
• Library is available at all times to students when accompanied by a teacher.
